Because the books of the Bible are arranged in sections according to the style of literature (law, history, wisdom, etc.), it can sometimes be confusing to fit the Bible events into chronological (time) order. The following table gives the books in rough chronological order. The other charts show some important Bible events along timelines (PDF 353Kb).
