IDF Kills Global Jihad Terrorist in Air Strike Near Karni by Hana Levi Julian
A Global Jihad terrorist is dead and another was wounded in an air strike on a squad of terror operatives who were preparing to carry out a terror attack near the Karni humanitarian aid crossing in northern Gaza Thursday morning February 11, according to IDF sources. The Karni crossing houses the terminal through which a giant conveyor delivers tons of grain and animal feed to Gaza each week.

Terrorist Murderer's Home to be Razed by Hillel Fendel
Following the terrorist murder of IDF St.-Sgt. Ihab Khatib at the Tapuach Junction on Wednesday February 10, the security forces arrested several family members of the murderer, Mouhmad Khatib. The arrestees included five of his brothers and cousins. The army is also preparing to destroy his home, as is customary with terrorist murderers.

Nabbed Hamas Cell Tried to Abduct Soldier During Shalit Talks by Gil Ronen
Israeli security forces caught a Hamas terror cell as its members crossed over from Gaza into Israel in December, the military censor has now permitted to report. The two-man squad was sent to abduct an Israeli soldier even as negotiations for Gilad Shalit were at their peak, last December The terrorists were caught as they tried to bring the explosive charges into Israel, along with a handgun, a silencer and counterfeit money.

Terrorists Set Off Bomb Near IDF Patrol; No Soldiers Hurt by David Lev
On a patrol of the Gaza border fence Friday morning February 12, a Golani unit came across a group of four Gaza Arab terrorists who were placing an explosive device along the fence, apparently intending to detonate it when patrols passed by. The troops opened fire at the terrorists, who began running away – but not before they set off a large explosion. Fortunately, none of the soldiers were hurt in the incident near the Kissufim crossing. Troops continued firing at the terrorists, supported by air power. Reports from Gaza said that one of the terrorists was killed in the battle.

Biden Expects China's Support on Iran
Vice President Joe Biden said on Sunday Febr uar y 14, the U.S. expects to gain China's support for imposing sanctions on Iran over its nuclear program. "We have the support of everyone from Russia to Europe. And I believe we'll get the support of China to continue to impose sanctions on Iran to isolate them, to make clear that in fact they cannot move forward," Biden said on NBC's "Meet the Press.".

Clinton Calls for Renewed Israeli-Palestinian Peace Negotiations
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said Sunday at the U.S.-Islamic World Forum in Qatar: "I know people are disappointed that we have not yet achieved a breakthrough....But we must remember that neither the United States nor any country can force a solution. The parties themselves must resolve their differences through negotiations."

U.S. Military Chief Hints Strike on Iran Possible If Nuclear Talks Fail- Maya Lecker
Admiral Mike Mullen, chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff, said Sunday February 14, in Israel that the U.S. administration is very serious regarding its plans to impose harsh sanctions on Iran and hinted that the U.S. could attack Iran if negotiations failed. "This (military strike) option is on the table, but we are not there yet," Mullen said.

Fayyad Honors Palestinian Terrorist Who Tried to Stab Israeli Soldier - Itamar Marcus and Barbara Crook
PA Prime Minister Salam Fayyad has honored the Palestinian terrorist who attempted to stab an Israeli soldier on Friday February 12 in Hebron, by paying a condolence call to his family. The terrorist was killed in the attack. Sunday's official PA daily Al-Hayat Al-Jadida carried a front-page picture of the terrorist, glorifying him as a holy Islamic martyr, together with a picture of Fayyad's visit. Star Wars returns in US airborne laser test
The US Missile Defense Agency recently performed a successful test of the Airborne Laser, a leftover from the “Star Wars” missile defense program of the 1980’s which uses a chemical laser mounted on a heavily modified Boeing 747 to shoot down incoming ballistic missiles in flight. "This experiment marks the first time a laser weapon has engaged and destroyed an in-flight ballistic missile," said a Boeing statement

Dubai to arrest 11 Europeans for hit on Hamas arms dealer
Dubai's police chief on Monday February15, said they intend to soon seek the arrest of the 11 members of a hit squad carrying European passports and disguised as tennis players who were responsible for killing Hamas arms dealer Mahmoud al-Mabhouh in his hotel room last month. Lt. Gen. Dhahi Khalfan Tamim told reporters that the alleged assassination team comprised six British passport holders, three Irish and one each from France and Germany..

SOME ARAB COUNTRIES HELP ISRAEL:
Senior Israeli cabinet minister Dan Meridor said on Saturday February 13, that several Arab countries have quietly improved covert intelligence cooperation with Israel over the last year. He stressed that although the Arabs are not happy about Israel, they have come to realize that the Jewish State is here to stay and they have also grown to appreciate that Iran and homegrown religious extremism is a much bigger problem.

Ahmadinejad says Israel ‘planning war next spring'
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad claimed on Tuesday February 16, he has information that Israel is "seeking to start a war next spring or summer... although their decision is not final yet," AFP reported. He did not specify who Israel allegedly plans to attack. "But the resistance and regional states will finish them if this fake regime does anything again," the Iranian leader warned. Ahmadinejad's remarks come several days after he reportedly told Syrian President Bashar Assad that Israel "must be resisted" and finished off "once and for all" if it launches a military operation in the Middle East.

Another biased member of Goldstone commission exposed
Irish Colonel Desmond Travers, one of the four members of the Goldstone Commission tasked with investigating allegations of “war crimes” in the conflict between the Israel and Hamas last winter, has been exposed in recent days for harbouring “paranoid fantasies” about the IDF. In a recent interview, Travers indicated a strong bias against the IDF over a supposed incident in southern Lebanon whereby ‘Israeli forces massacred Irish troops serving as peacekeepers in UNIFIL’.

Peres calls Ahmadinejad ‘a dictator and murderer who hangs people'
Israeli President Shimon Peres met with Austrian Foreign Minister Michael Spindelegger in Jerusalem on Wednesday February 17, and warned that if Iran manages to deploy nuclear weapons, the other regional powers in the Middle East will follow suit. Peres added that he was at a loss to understand why so many leaders in the world didn’t get the fact that Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is "a dictator and a murderer who hangs people in the streets, shoots at unarmed civilians, calls for the destruction of a nation and travels the world as if he was a legitimate leader.”

Israel’s economy trends upward in Fourth Quarter of 2009
Israel’s economic future is looking brighter this spring as the Central Bureau of Statistics released numbers on Tuesday showing 4.4% expansion in the fourth quarter of 2009 amid reports of an expanding jobs market, strong incoming tourism, a large increase in exports, and a rise in private consumption of Israeli manufactured goods. Unemployment is at 7.2%, well below the numbers in other developed countries, and falling fast. “Israel’s economy appears to be well on the road to recovery,” Barclays Capital economist Daniel Hewitt said.

Netanyahu winds up Moscow visit with mixed results on Iran
Ahmadinejad vt to shame’ anyone who imposes sanctions . Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday dismissed Iranian claims that Israel is planning for a Spring offensive, saying that Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is simply trying to divert attention away from international efforts to confront Tehran’s renegade nuclear program and the political turmoil inside the Islamic Republic. On a related note, a top Russian defense official announced on Wednesday February 17m, that the S-300 air defense system ordered by Iran was going through “technical problems,” resulting in another delayed delivery schedule.

A major attack on Taliban insurgents in Afghanistan, enabled by the injection of 20,000 more American troops to the region, materialized over the weekend. It is the result of a promise by U.S. President Barack Obama to help bring peace to the war-torn region and return control of the area to the Afghan people. Some 15,000 NATO soldiers, including a force of some 4,000 from Britain, joined troops from the U.S., Denmark, Estonia, and Afghanistan to attack Taliban strongholds in Operation Moshtarak -- a word that means “togetherness” in the local Dari tongue.

An Iranian attack on Israel would be considered an attack on Canada, according to Peter Kent, Canada's Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of the Americas and a legislator from an Ontario community with a large Jewish population. He told Shalomlife.com, “Canada has been concerned for some time not only about brutal repression of civil rights in Iran but also about the nuclear adventurism and the proclaimed quest of nuclear weaponry by President [Mahmoud] Ahmadinejad.”

Dubai Police: 11 Agents Killed Hamas Terrorist by Gil Ronen
The Dubai Police held a news conference on Monday February 14, in which they showed photographs of 11 people whom they suspect of assassinating Hamas agent Mahmoud al-Mabhouh. Mabhouh's body was found January 20 in a hotel room in the capital of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Dubai Police chief Lt. Gen. Dhahi Khalfan Tamim said six people in the hit team bore British passports, three had Irish ones, one had a French passport and another one held a German passport. - Irrespective of who carried out the assassination of senior Hamas terrorist Mahmoud al-Mabhouh in Dubai, the operation was meticulously planned and successfully executed, and despite a surprisingly impressive investigation by Dubai police, the hit cannot be considered a botched job. A First in Anti Terror War: Iranian Banks Sued by Rocket Victims by Rachel Sylvetsky
For the first time, 85 Israeli citizens who were harmed by rocket attacks during the Second Lebanon War are suing Iranian banks. The plaintiffs base their claims on the findings of the U.S. Department of the Treasury, dated October 25, 2007, which state that Bank Saderat transferred funds for promoting terror to Hizbullah from the CBI through the PLC Saderat Bank in London during the years 2001-2006.

Iran: Islamic Middle East Soon to Be Formed (Fars-Iran)
Iran's Islamic revolution has been a source of inspiration for the Muslim nations, ushering the region into a new era of Islamism where an Islamic Middle East is being formed, Maj.-Gen. Yahya Rahim Safavi, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei's senior military advisor, said Wednesday February 17. "What is now being formed is an Islamic Middle East, not an American Middle East," he said. Formation of an Islamic Middle East is the result of the Islamic revolution in Iran, he stressed.

Gaza Glutted with Smuggled Goods - Non-Hamas Tunnel Owners Suffering - Avi Issacharoff (Ha'aretz)
Hamas has recently set up its own tunnels which it uses to smuggle merchandise from Egypt. As a result, existing, non-Hamas run tunnels are suffering financially. The Hamas tunnels have brought in an overflow of goods, causing a complete standstill in dozens of non-Hamas tunnels. Moreover, work on digging additional tunnels has also stopped. The recent increase in smuggled goods has caused many factories to renew activity, with increasing supplies of gasoline and cement actually causing Gaza to experience an economic reawakening.
