Brisbane Christadelphians on Petrie Tce
Brisbane Christadelphians
134 Petrie Tce, Brisbane AUSTRALIA
Our church or ecclesia as we like to call it, was first formed in Brisbane in the 1880’s and the members met in hired halls until 1958 when they built our current hall on Petrie Tce. Over the years the hall has been improved to cater for the variety of activities that are held there. We currently have around 120 members and about 30 children. There are at least 10 ecclesias within Brisbane.
Every Sunday we have a Memorial Meeting (worship service) at 11.00am (although from early December to late January we start at 10.00am) where we follow Jesus command to ‘break bread and drink wine’ in memory of His life and death. Bible studies and activities are held on Sunday afternoon or evening, on Wednesday evening at 7.30pm, and in members home’s on a regular basis.
Our Sunday School provides lessons and activities suited to ages ranging from 5-18 years (even older). A junior Youth Group is held fortnightly on Friday evenings for the 9-14 year olds, and for those who are 15-30, there is a Youth Group with regular activities.
Many other activities are organised and these include:
